Kesteven and Associates helps organisations function more effectively by defining and documenting their corporate management systems. We create simple sets of short documents that explain how the organisation works. The objectives are —

• Lay solid foundations for management and oversight. (ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations, principle 1)
• Provide senior managers with a mechanism to agree on and communicate the organisation’s structure and relationships.
• Establish consistency in how the organisation defines its objectives and coordinates its activities between business units, branches, and divisions.
• Standardise the organisation's key control systems, in particular for assurance, decision-making, and risk management.

The documentation we create is designed primarily for simplicity and ease of communication; at the same time, we ensure it provides the discipline and rigour needed to support formal requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley and stock exchange corporate governance codes, international standards such as ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and AS/NZS 4360; corporate citizenship commitments such as the Partnering Against Corruption Initiative and the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, and to demonstrate the integrity and value of the organisation’s management for purposes of due diligence or fund raising.
